EC Work Blog: Samsung "The Frame"

Samsung recently came forward with new tv design where the "off screen" of the television instead of being a black square it has several preset pictures, this accompanied with the frame of the screen resembling a Painted picture frame transforms that black unappealing square found in most living rooms into something more appealing. In addition to this if the television is mounted on a wall beside other picture frames it has the potential to seamlessly melt into the room and not stick out like a sore thumb.

its something I hadn't considered the aesthetics of a television while not in use but I can recognize now how unappealing it is an obtrusive black square in what could potential be a very vibrant and bright room.

Its always refreshing seeing a design remedy a problem you didn't even realize was an issue.
